Neil Barrett - Owner & Head Groundsman

With over 30 years of hands-on experience in gardening and grounds maintenance, Neil founded Greenkeeper in 2019 to channel his expertise, passion, and commitment to high-quality outdoor care. His extensive knowledge — supported by qualifications including Lantra & NVQ certificates, underpins every aspect of the service we provide.  

Neil has worked across a wide range of environments, from specialist sports grounds to large corporate estates, developing a reputation for reliability, precision, and exceptional standards of workmanship. He is equally dedicated to educating clients and fellow professionals on best practice in grounds management, ensuring every space is maintained to its full potential. 

Guided by the ethos “If you’ve got it, we can look after it” Neil brings a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic to every project, making him the driving force behind Greenkeeper’s trusted reputation. 

Owen Bland - Assistant Groundsman

Owen joined Greenkeeper in 2021 as an apprentice and quickly proved himself to be an invaluable member of the team. Combining a solid theoretical foundation with hands-on training under Neil’s guidance, he has developed into a confident and capable Grounds Assistant.  

Owen is skilled across all areas of grounds maintenance and brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine eagerness to learn to every project. His commitment to expanding his knowledge and refining his craft means he continues to grow from strength to strength—making him a key part of Greenkeeper’s future as well as its day-to-day success.
